Developed with & and ridden in by World Dressage Champion, Isabell Werth, the Bates Isabell Dressage Saddle features an extra-deep seat and low thin, waist, positioning the rider very close to the horse for superior concact. Soft Sorbtec gel knee inserts mould to your knee with every ride. Adjustable Flexiblocs customize knee and thigh support.
Features the Easy Change Gullet System to fit a wide range of horses. (This saddle seems to be great on our broad-shouldered horses.) It also features the CAIR System, which means that there is a thin layer of air (similar to the air-cusion "honeycomb" in running shoes) between the saddle tree and your horse's ever-developing back muscles. For a custom fit that lasts through every ride, every season, at every point in training, consider CAIR. It will never pack down and harden like tradional flocking, thus CAIR gives relief from pressure points. It will not pop or change with the weather. If you need to customize the fit of your saddle beyond CAIR, you can always add wool flocking, just like you would in a normal saddle.
The comfort of a well-fitting Isabell encourages the horse to round his back into the saddle & to support the weight of the rider with generosity. In addition, this saddle encourages the rider to sit in proper alignment, with stirrup bars positioned 2" further back than normal.
